Candidates may study for many of its food hygiene and HACCP exams by studying using one of the RIPH-approved distance learning courses listed below. When candidates have completed their training they must, if they wish to obtain an RIPH qualification, sit an invigilated examination. The invigilator may be arranged by the course provider (after prior approval from RIPH) or may be arranged by RIPH in consultation with candidates. Thus it will be necessary for candidates to discuss examination arrangements with their course provider (and/or RIPH) prior to commencement of study. Invigilation for distance learners may involve a small additional administrative cost. The following colleges and training providers offer distance learning courses that enable candidates to study for RIPH Food Safety and HACCP qualifications: Foundation Certificate
in Food Hygiene & Safety
Intermediate Certificate in Food Safety
Foundation Certificate in HACCP Principles
Intermediate Certificate in Applied HACCP Principles
Advanced Certificate in Applied HACCP Principles
Foundation Certificate in Health & Safety in the Workplace
